Ashtanga Yoga forms the basis of
the Yoga School Berlin. Ashtanga is a dynamically powerful form of
yoga, with a tradition that reaches back over centuries.
Ashtanga, or to be more precise 'Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga', is a physically demanding system practiced in six series which steadily increase in difficulty.
Ashtanga, or to be more precise 'Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga', is a physically demanding system practiced in six series which steadily increase in difficulty.
Every position (asana) is
connected with the next by a series of movements (vinyasa), resulting
in a practice that is both powerful and graceful. This contributes to a
sense of well-being in body and mind which in turn leads to a sense of
peace and calm. And as such, both the beginner and the advanced student
of Ashtanga can exert themselves according to their particular fitness
level, taking them to their respective physical and mental limits.
