The Yoga School Berlin is a place for
life and learning for everyone - utterly free from esoterically and
spiritually dubious influences or lax fitness culture.
What makes the Yoga School Berlin so distinctive is the fusion of
traditional Ashtanga Yoga and current physiotherapeutic knowledge. With
our grasp of human anatomy we manage to strike a harmonious balance
between the traditional sequences of positions and breathing techniques
on the one hand and current awareness of body and mind on the other, in
such a way that can be incorporated perfectly into our modern style of
living.
Use the Yoga School Berlin to discover
your potential and
- raise your level of fitness and get yourself into shape
- develop stability, strength and flexibility
- build up specific muscle areas and improve your posture
- learn to be more aware of your body and develop a positive approach
to yourself
and the world around you.
The Yoga School Berlin is led by Susen Pijur and André Pijur who have
been teaching together since the beginning of 2006. Before the Yoga
School Berlin they set up Ashtanga Yoga Kreuzberg.
Susen Pijur
Susen, Yoga Teacher and alternative practitioner, received her
traditional education in Mysore, india, and
has been a student of K.Pattabhi Jois, who is rated as founder of
Ashtanga Yoga. Her personal style of teaching is characterized by
inspirations she brings along from her constant travels to india.
Leaded by her current teacher Rolf Naujokat she is one of the very few
who practises the challenging Advanced-Serie.
André Pijur
André has successfully completed a three year training programme to
become an officially recognized physiotherapist and is currently doing an osteopathy education. He takes a holistic
view to the body and combines medical aspects with those of tradition.
André discovered Ashtanga Yoga through his wife, Susen, and quickly
came to recognize its benefits for the body and mind which he now
applies in his work as a physiotherapist. He combines these two
elements in his method of teaching.
Now you're gone, you're with angels
In memory of our beloved teacher Anne Habedank
The day 16th of August 2010 our beloved teacher Anne lost her fight
against the cancer.
She leaves a blank wich can´t be filled again. She wasn´t only a
teacher of our school, but also one of our best friends,
so familiar. We will always remember her and would like to say thank
you, for everything you teached us, for everything we
could see, learn and live because of you.
We love you, Anne, whereever you are now.
